You do such great work that I am unlikely to ever offer criticism. There were two districts. This must be District 1. My ancestors are in District 2, page 14 and I scrolled back from there. Do you know what were the dividing lines between Springfield Districts 1 & 2?
Yes, my information is from District 1. I’m not sure about the dividing lines, but it looks like Highway 555 goes north through the middle of Springfield – and the middle of the county, dividing it into eastern and western sections. However, Willisburg (in the eastern section) is half in District 1 and the other in District 2! The western section of the county is predominantly Catholic, the eastern side Protestant.
