Lucinda Jane Brothers McIlvoy, Obituary

Mrs. Lucinda McIlvoy, aged seventy-five years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Davis Crowe, at Fairfield, Nelson County, at 5 o’clock Monday morning, January 29, 1923, following a lingering ilness of infirmities incident to age.

Deceased was the widow of the late James McIlvoy, for many years a prominent citizen of this county, and made her home in this county until a few years ago when she went to Nelson County to make her home with her daughter.

The body was brought to Willisburg Tuesday morning, funeral services being held at the Christian Church at that place and burial following in the cemetery at Hillsboro, the former home of deceased.

Mrs. McIlvoy was well known in the Hillsboro section where she had a wide circle of friends who loved her because of her amiable disposition and to whom she was affectionately known as “Aunt Dutch.”

Surviving are the following children, Mrs. Davis Crowe, Fairfield, with whom she Mrs. McIlvoy made her home, and two sons, Billie McIlvoy, of South Dakota, and Tom McIlvoy of Hillsboro.
