Ben C. Hardin Obituary

from The Harrodsburg Herald, Mercer County, Kentucky

Friday, February 27, 1914

Mr. Ben C. Hardin, one of the best known and most prominent farmers of the Braxton section, died Tuesday morning about 5 o’clock at his home on the Munday’s Landing Pike.  Mr. Hardin was about 61 years of age and had been a sufferer for some time with Bright’s disease.  He was a member of the Christian Church in Harrodsburg, and a man who had many warm friends, and was devoted to his family.  The funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock at his late residence, his friend, Rev. Selby, pastor of the Methodist Church at Salvisa, being the officiating minister, and the remains were brought here and interred in Spring Hill Cemetery, where many of his kindred sleep.  Besides his wife he is survived by two daughters, Misses Nell and Bess Hardin.
