Today we are experimenting – not really sure if this will work. I’ve added a new category for my posts – Searchable Databases. I’m hopeful you will be able to look at a large Excel spreadsheet with a good deal of information on it. Let’s try my 100 Years of Washington County Marriages. The database is an alphabetical of those married from 1792 to 1892. If this works as it should you will be able to search for any name, otherwise the marriages will just be alphabetized by groom.
Let me know what you think – is this helpful? I have so many spreadsheets I’ve made over the years and will be happy to share what I have.

VERY helpful. Thank you for sharing!!
A through H came through GREAT! But Sheets 2 and 3 would not open for me.
Wow, I must say, you are way under appreciated! The work you have put into this sheet alone must have been very time consuming….
So I like to say “THANK YOU” from a fellows genealogyist on the west coast..
💗😊😊💗
Thank you, Kathy! There is nothing on sheets 2 and 3 – all on 1. It may take a moment to download so much information.
This was great! Thank you. Of course I kept trying to get sheet 2&3 to load. I thought it was an old iPad glitch, now I know!
This is brilliant! Thanks so much! (Fun to sort by marriage year, to see who else is living/getting married at the same time as my ancestor)
I hate auto correct. Sorry about the typos, couldn’t edit after I posted.
Thank you so much. I will enjoy reading that over and over. Thank you for all the work you do for our enjoyment.
Great resource! Thanks so much for your hard work and generosity.
That works with both MSExcel and with Open Office Calc. Thank you!
Good to know!!
Thanks for the spreadsheet. Found one of my relatives (McAnelly). Would be interested in other county spread sheets you might have of this type, particularly those around Lexington and Frankfort.

Thank you so much for posting the Washington County, KY Marriages. What a huge help to us out of town people! Mary Pool
I agree with everyone. I have found so much info for my family tree through this site. Roger Roney is my ggg grandfather whom we knew nothing about till your post of Samuel Livers married Catherine McAvoy. That one post answered so many questions. Darn did I get off subject again. Thanks!
You are so very welcome!
Thank you, Phyllis! This is wonderful.
Thanks, Phyllis! So helpful… saw several possible family members that I thought were married in Scott Co.
As always you amaze me! char
This is great! However sheets 2&3 do not come up.
My family first settled in Washington County in the late 1700s then on to what would be Hardin County.
I really enjoy reading your posts, and thank you so much for taking the time to do them.
All information is on sheet one. It may take a moment or two for all information to download.
Guess I am the only person without office? Cannot see or read.
Patricia, you can save my file on your computer, do a search for free google spreadsheet and open. Since you have google mail you already have an account. I was able to read the spreadsheet in this way. Let me know if this works. Phyllis
Thank you so much for sharing this very helpful information.
Thank you so much for the data base of Washington County KY. I found at least 4 relatives and some other couples I knew about. It was very helpful and easy to use. I really appreciate you sharing this information. Marilyn
Thank you so much for what you do. It means a lot for those of us that cannot go to the area.
I still am unable to see beyond H. My families are Kidwell, Queen and Tewell. I tried last night and this morning.
Super, thanks!
Thank you. I would like to see more of your spreadsheets.Joella Hutchins Mart
