One of my ancestors, Balaam Ezell, served in the Revolutionary War in Virginia, was given a land grant in Trigg County, Kentucky. He is buried there with a grave marker provided by the Daughters of the American Revolution. My husband I took photos when we traveled there in 2019.
Thank you for this wonderful memorial to our fallen heroes. I did not remember there were so many men from the north that fought in the south for our freedom. It took every hand and heart to win. And sang thank you to France! Again, my appreciation for your wonderful work.
Happy 4 th of July to you too Phyliss. I loved seeing all the great pictures.
My Grandma Bridget Carrico was born on July 4-1879. She lived to be 96. She was 65 when I was born in 1944 but I got to know her well and loved her so much.
Jacob Van Meter is an ancestor of my husband. Where the family settled in Illinois is where I grew up. May I copy this picture for my family tree and local historian?
Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
