Monday Ritchey and I were in New Providence Cemetery taking photos, a fitting way to celebrate 15 years. I had just reached Samuel McAfee, a Revolutionary War soldier. He had a gravestone and also a war marker. I backed up to get both in the photo, fell and broke my left wrist. I am typing with one hand. Thank you for all the kind comments on the last post. May be a bit before I can write another.

Bless Your Heart!
Thank you!!
I’m so sorry to hear about your injury. I hope you have a speedy recovery with no complications. I enjoy reading your posts so much and imagining how hard it must have been for those early settlers! I am a descendant of early Kentucky settler John Lancaster.

Thank you! As soon as I can easily type I’ll post!
Sorry to read that you broke your wrist. Get better soon……Mary Pool
Thank you, Mary Frances!
Take care. Hope your wrist isn’t too painful. Thank you for all you do to keep us connected. I’m originally from Louisville, KY. Pat
It’s not too bad, just very awkward.
Girl now I KNOW you and I are related hahaha…. My dad used to say I had three feet and that getting the third shoe wasn’t easy 🤣 … especially since by fifth grade I was wearing a size 9 shoe. I graduated to a size ten on my first day of 7th grade.
Haha, I try to be careful!! I’m the first in my family to wear a cast!
Hope you heal quickly and with no complications. I read all your posts and will miss them until you are back full speed
I’m so impressed you read them all!! Thank you!
Can’t wait to see about Samuel McAfee he is a relative.. Sorry to hear about your wrist. My husband did this, backed up to help me tripped over a stone and cracked his head on another.. He had to go get stitches.. Cemeteries can be dangerous 🙂
Oh, no! I try to be very careful but things happen. Hope your husband is okay!
