Good morning!  It’s a bright, sunny day in the heart of Kentucky.  It will be a warm day and a warmer week – most temps in the 90’s!  But I hope this is the end of the summer heat.  One more hurrah before the lovely cool temperatures of autumn take control.  My favorite season!

My office windows, at the front of the house, face north.  We are in the higher end of the subdivision, and I have great views of the sky.  I see birds flying and swooping.  I also see clouds and storms as they roll in.  Seems like we have had more stormy weather than I remember when we last were in Kentucky.  But that could be that the Upper Peninsula in Michigan rarely gets storms.

I’ve bombarded you with posts this week.  Guess the fingers are getting better at typing.  From yesterday’s Fernwood Cemetery to the new chart to my newest book.  I would like to ask you what you would like to see more of in the blog.  I want this to be helpful – with information, perhaps teaching a bit on techniques, and giving a good representation of the entire state.  Tell me what you think.

For those of you who have purchased my books on Amazon – are they helpful?  Any ideas about what books you might want to see?  I have often wanted to write a book on Ritchey’s Prather family – from Maryland to Kentucky.  A book of typed wills from Jefferson or Lincoln (being two of the oldest counties) is a possibility.  There will be a second volume of the early marriage records of Washington County 1797-1800.  I need only a few more photos from New Providence Presbyterian Cemetery in Mercer County and Pisgah Presbyterian Cemetery in Woodford County for books.  This fall, winter and spring will be busy – we generally do not visit cemeteries in the summer – just too hot!  Have a great weekend my friends!
