Good morning! I hope your enjoyed your weekend! My baby sister turned 50 yesterday and we had a great time celebrating her! Any birthday is a reason for a feast and cake, but those even numbers seem bigger.
I’ve had several book orders come in and wanted you to have the titles in case you need research. I will add them and update the list.
Prince William County Virginia Will Book C 1734-1744 by John Frederick Dorman
The 1787 Census of Virginia, by Netti Shreiner-Yantis – a large, three volume set that includes all of Virginia, what became West Virginia, and what became Kentucky. Very excited about this one as I am trying to find where in Virginia my John Hill originated. Information given is number of white males 16-21, blacks above 16, blacks under 16, number of horses, number of cattle.
A List of Emigrants from England to America 1682 – 1692 by Michael Ghirelli
The Register of Overwharton Parish Stafford County Virginia 1723 – 1758 by George Harrison Sanford King
Virginia Supreme Court District of Kentucky Order Books 1783 – 1792 by Michael Cook (so excited to have this one!)
I also have a new paperback book available on Amazon – Lincoln County Kentucky Probate Book A, 1781 – 1791, the oldest wills, inventories, dowers, sales, etc., in the largest county in Kentucky at that time! And, a Kindle version of Washington County Kentucky Deeds – Books A & B.
Kentucky has been in the 90’s for most of the month of August and September. However, after today we should be in the 70’s and I can’t tell you how excited I am for cooler temps! That’s just too hot for cemetery research! Plus, it seems fall is the best time for photos as the sky is generally a brilliant blue! Happy fall!
