Annie Clarkson, two-year-old daughter of Stephen Theodore Clarkson and Martha L. Edwards, died d155 years ago – April 18, 1858 – in Washington County, Kentucky.  She died of scarlet fever, as did her five-year-old brother, Francis Polin Clarkson, eight days earlier, also of scarlet fever.  Two babies gone within a week.  How the parents must have grieved!  Their other siblings were Edwin Barbour, Margaret Mason and Sidney Albertus Clarkson.
