Marriage Certificate – This is to certify that on the 17th of January, 1904, the Rites of Matrimony were legally solemnized by me between Willie Coulter and Miss Bessie Smith at H. P. Hatchett, in the county of Washington, in the presence of James Snider and ?, H. P. Hatchett.
Willie W. Coulter was the son of Isaiah Thomas Coulter and Sarah M. White, born May 28, 1883. Bessie Smith was born June 9, 1888, both in Washington County, Kentucky. The couple had at least three children, Maudie, Silas and Sarah N. They are buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Willisburg, Washington County, Kentucky. Willie died July 5, 1950, in Jefferson County, and Bessie died March 16, 1970, in Washington County.
