This original marriage record and parental consent from Washington County, Kentucky, has me puzzled. I can’t find any Montgomery in my database married to a Henrietta before 1792. Does anyone have an idea who this might be?
Know all men by theses presents, that we, William Cambron and Jonathon Riney, are held and firmly bound unto his Excellency, the Governor of Kentucky, in the sum of fifty pounds current money. To the payment which well and truly to be made to the said governor and his successors, we bind ourselves, our heirs, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents, sealed with our seals and dated this 5th day of December 1792. The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas there is a marriage shortly intended between the above bound William Cambron and Rebecca Montgomery, for which a license has issued. Now if there be no lawful cause to obstruct the said marriage, then this obligation to be void, else to remain in full force. William Cambron
Jonathon Riney
Witness, John Reed
This is to certify that I am willing for my daughter, Rebecca Montgomery, to be married to William Cambron, with my hand, Henrietta Montgomery. Henrietta Montgomery

John Baptist Montgomery, born about 1711 to Peter and Catherine (original immigrants). He married Henrietta Jenkins. Best of my knowledge at this time. Love, love, love your work.
Thank you, Nancy! My goal was to get Rebecca Montgomery back to Peter! Glad you enjoy the website – I love doing it!
