William Linton, son of John Linton and Ann Nancy Mason, was born 1790 in Loudoun County, Virginia. William came to Kentucky before his parents in 1818, since he married Eliza Lyon Moran, daughter of William Moran, Jr., and Mary Barber, in Washington County April 5, 1817. The couple had seven children.
William Frost, who is listed as an idiot, is a man from the poorhouse run by Captain John Linton in Loudoun County, Virginia. He came to Kentucky with the Linton family, was cared for by Captain John, and buried in the Linton Cemetery with the family.
