Promissory Note – Benjamin Edwards to Nancy Edwards

Nancy Edwards is my great-great-great-grandmother, the daughter of Captain John Linton and Ann Nancy Mason.  She married Edward Barber Edwards, most likely in Loudoun County, Virginia, about 1796.  In 1818 the entire family of Captain John moved to Washington County, Kentucky – children and grandchildren.  Edward Barber Edwards died 6 years after the move, in 1824.  Nancy Edwards lived on for another 37 years!  They had 8 children:  Susan Clark, John L., Catherine Kitural, Jonathan Joseph, Benjamin M., Mary Jane, Martha L. and Sarah Barber Edwards.
