I share a photo of a lovely woman today. Her hair is beautiful in the upswept fashion of the day. Her white frilly blouse is so dainty, the sleeves and bodice with tiny flecks of white, and the ruffled collar and front just adding to the overall effect.
Fortunately there is a name and date on back. This woman’s name is Gunning Louise – which would be a shortened form of Gunhilda. It took a bit of research since I originally thought the name was Gunner. Photo was Taken May, 1916, in Vienna, by Friedr Schiller. Don’t you wish we had a surname?
