Know all men by these presents, that we, Robert T. Stockton and William W. Henderson, are held and firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of Kentucky, in the sum of fifty pounds, to the payment whereof well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals, and dated this 4th day of July 1842.
The condition of the above obligation is such, that whereas a marriage is shortly intended to be solemnized between the above bound Robert T. Stockton and Melinda Tadlock of this county: Now, shall it always hereafter appear, that there is no just cause to obstruct the said marriage, then the above obligation to be void, else to remain in full force and virtue.
R. T. Stockton, W. W. Henderson
