Gravestones from St. Charles Catholic Church Cemetery in Marion County, Kentucky
These are a few of the gravestones in St. Charles Catholic Church Cemetery in Marion County, Kentucky. This was my home parish before my marriage. The elementary school (St. Charles – at one time a parochial school but when I attended it was a public school – many nuns still taught there!) was just a short distance from the church, and the junior high school was less than a mile up the road. Surprisingly enough I have only two relatives buried here – my father and a great-great-grandmother, Ellen (Elenora) Lyons Smith.
Benedict Browning 1856-1936
