Mary Genevieve Fields was sister to my great-grandfather, Andrew M Fields. His parents were also Wilfred Fields and Susan Mary (Kidwell) Fields.
Wilfred’s father was Joseph Fields b. 1756 and private in the 3rd Maryland line.
Susan’s parents were Felix Kidwell and Teresa Yates. Felix Kidwell’s parents were Hezekiah Kidwell and Susannah Bartleson. I beleive Hezekiah died sometime between 1810 and 1836. I have a copy of a settlement of his estate which did not happen until 1836. Sussannah Bartleson is listed in the 1830 census therefore I think Hezekiah died prior to 1830. Susanna is also listed in the 1850 census, age 81 (b. 1769?) living with her son Felix, family No / dwelling No 1033. A sister to Felix, Teresa, is also living there (age 44, would be born 1806). Susan M Kidwell (Fields) is listed as age 10.
