Hi Phyllis:
Can you contact me off the blog regarding the Linton family? I have been stuck on my g-g-grandmother Susan Ann or Susannah Linton for quite some time. She was born in Oct 1829 I believe in Washington Co., KY. She married my g-g-grandfather James Hayner on Christmas Day 1849, had a child Martha Elizabeth in Sep 1850 and then they migrated to southwest Iowa where they had 5 more children. They died there in Page County, Iowa, which is right on the Missouri border in southwest Iowa. I have looked through your very interesting blog here and noticed John Edwards and Millie Linton Edwards. They were living just one family away from my Hayners in 1850. My James and Susan Linton Hayner (she is age 19) who had just married Dec 1849, were in the 1850 Census in Washington Co., KY with James’ widowed mother next door, then a Grundy family, then John Edwards and his family. They are on census page 217A. William (age 60) & Eliza Linton are on page 223A. Ben C. Linton age 44 & family are on page 207A. I am really searching for her parents. There are a lot of Susan Lintons! Any help would be greatly appreciated!
