Mother, Baby Meet In Death

Nina Catherine Case, beautiful three-year-old daughter and only child of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Case, died at their home near Parina from the effects of scarlet fever last Saturday morning.  She was born January 2, 1926, and died May 4, 1929.

Funeral services were held at the Triumph Church Monday afternoon, with services conducted by Rev. Marion Pfanstiel.  An unusually large crowd of sympathetic friends attended the funeral and accompanied the small remains to their last resting place in the K. of P. cemetery at Brooksville.

A few hours later, at 11 o’clock that night the pretty young mother passed away to meet the darling little one in the Happy Land Beyond.

At the time of the child’s funeral the mother was ill and the casket was carried to her bed-side at her request for a farewell, not knowing she was so soon to follow.

Mrs. Case was 23 years of age the 5th day of last September and was the daughter of the late Samuel Snapp and Mrs. Snapp, of Asbury Pike.  Besides her young and devoted husband, to whom she was married November 29, 1924, and her mother, she leaves the following brothers and sisters:  Neville, William, Raymond and Clifton Snapp, Mrs. Hester Vermillion, Mrs. Asbury Jefferson, all of this county, and Mrs. Benjamin Burton, of Dover.

Rev. Pfanstiel will deliver the funeral sermon at Triumph Church of which deceased was a member, at 2:30, slow time, Thursday afternoon, after which the interment will take place in the K. of P. cemetery beside the newly made grave of the little daughter.
