What a lovely woman! How enchanting she looks in her romantic blouse – with many ruffles and puffs in the sleeves! The print is rather unusual – generally a solid color was the staple of the day. Her dark skirt makes a dramatic background!
The photo was taken in Vienna by J. Krotsch geb. Huber. This must be a female photographer – perhaps her father was one also, and she wanted her maiden name to appear on back of her photos (geb. is short for geboran which means ‘born’). The address is V. Schonbrunnerstrasse 47 im Garten – which means in the garden. Thankfully I have a husband who speaks German! Have a wonderfully productive genealogy day!
