Know all men by these presents that we, Levin Carrico and Thomas Osbourn, are held and firmly bound unto his Excellency, James Garrard, Esq., Governor of Kentucky, and his successors in the penal sum of fifty pounds current money to the payment of which well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, jointly and severally, firmly, by these presents, sealed with our seals and dated this 5th day of October 1801.
The condition of the above obligation is such that if there should be no legal cause to obstruct a marriage shortly intended to be solemnized between the above bound Levin Carrico and Catharine Osbourn, daughter of the above bound Thomas Osbourn, then this obligation to void, else to remain in full force.
