Time is running short today and thought I would present you with just a little humor this Monday morning! My last year’s birthday card from my son:
????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
And it was a wonderful day today in Louisville!! Happy researching!
Categories: Genealogy Ramblings
OH my gosh I love his first name! I get it. Wish my George Pirtle would have done that. It is possible that his son George MERRITT Pirtle is a clue, and I just 2 months saw proof it was Merritt,,and not the other M’s in the possible mix,,McWhirter or Marlin.
So I am going to look harder at Merritt. Maybe I should look in Washington Co Ky. Thanks for the poke to get back to that train of thought! Our people had to have known each other. Would be GP’s brother Henry, born 1748. He and his family lived near Springfield. Several in his family removed to Louisville, and became judges, Alfred Pirtle became a writer and wrote several books about Clark and his Illinois and Indiana Campaigns and was very active at the Filson.
Happy Birthday!
