Good morning!  My sister was here last week and I dropped everything to spend each moment with her – I’m sure you understand.  We search and love to find information on our ancestors, but the living are far more dear to us, and we have to take advantage of every opportunity.

  • #572 – April 29, 1862, George Washington Adkins to Nancy L. Marshall.  Executing Bond.  This is to certify, that on the 1st day of May 1862, the rites of matrimony were legally solemnized by me between G. W. Adkins and Nancy L. Marshall in the County of Carter.  Signed, David Maggard, B.M.

  • #574 – May 11, 1863, Jackson Gray to Catharine Shelton.  Executing Bond.  This is to certify, that on the 17th day of May 1863, the rites of matrimony were legally solemnized by me between Jackson Gray and Catharine Shelton, in the county of Carter in the presence of Alfred Carter and July Harris.  Signed, C.
