Old Resident Dead
Mr. Nate Janes, one of the county’s oldest citizens, died at the home of his son near town, Monday, in the 74th year of his age. Infirmities incident to old age was the cause of his death. Mr. Janes had been a resident of this county all of his life and had been a successful farmer and a good citizen. He reared a large family of children, some of whom have grown to manhood and womanhood. The following survive him: Messr. Will, Ed, Ben, John and Frank Janes and Mrs. J. L. Moran and Mrs. Thomas Baker. John and Frank and two younger daughters are children of Mr. Janes’ second wife, who also survive. Mr. L. L. Janes of the Valley Hill neighborhood is a brother. The funeral took place on Wednesday morning. Burial at Pleasant Grove.

So glad to have found you, too! Is Nathan Janes related to James Kaleb Janes? I do not have information on who his father would be. There are several other Janes I have questions about.
