GOOD CITIZEN
Passes Away at His Home Near McAfee
Last Saturday death claimed one of the oldest, as well as one of the most substantial citizens of Mercer county when Mr. James J. McAfee passed away at his home near McAfee, this county. He was eighty-four years of age, a fine old gentleman of many noble characteristics, and has always been a prominent citizen in this community where he lived. Perhaps he is the only man in the county who was born, lived all his long life and died at the same place. The funeral services took place Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Frank Cleland, and the remains were interred in the burying ground at Providence church. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. T. J. Hudson and Mrs. W. W. Davis, both of McAfee.
