Three Brothers’ Photo?

Scan170 1I LOVE this photo!  Three brothers – or friends? – out to have their picture taken!  Unfortunately number three misses the cue on which foot to cross!  They are all handsome young gents!  The top button on their coats gives us a date during the 1870’s.  If you look carefully you will see the bottom of the stands behind each one to help him remain still during the length of time it took for photography at that age.

These tin type photographs were mainly taken during the 1860’s and 1870’s, but there was a resurgence at the turn of the century – for a bit of nostalgia!  Enjoy your day!

Any thoughts?
