Phyllis, what a beautiful presentation! You are appreciated. My ancestor is Henry Baugh from your list. On his marker/stone it says: PVT 4 Regt Va Militia Rev War, 1762-1836.
The courthouse is beautiful.
My daughter lovingly chides me for spending my days researching dead people. She is too young to understand that I “bring my ancestors to life” when I add the research; and that I am, who they were.
I love my ancestors!
So do I! Wouldn’t you love to have a conversation with them? Imagine what we would learn! Where is Henry Baugh buried? Next time I am in Pulaski County I’ll take a photo. I have a large collection of Revolutionary War veterans’ gravestone photos.
Thank you kindly, but I have pics which I will email to you if you give me your address.
His markers are in the Mt Zion Cemetery in northwest Pulaski County. The attribution will be shown since I got the pics from Ancestry.
Wow!!! Thank you for this page…. I heard there was a marker with my great great great great great grandfathers name on it, (Job Gastineau) and there it is!!!! I am stoked that you have taken the time to put this together….
It used to be outside the old Library, but they built the new one and I wasn’t sure what happened to the plaque when that happened. My mom showed it to me and my siblings when we were kids and I thought it was cool to see him listed on there as well!
Hurray for mom! Was she interested in genealogy?
