Fourth of July Dedication to Captain John Hancock Linton and 1st Sargent Baruch William Prather

In memory of John Linton who departed this life December 4th 1836, in the 86th year of his age.  Linton Family Graveyard, Washington County, Kentucky.

John Linton was a captain of the Loudoun County Militia of Virginia during the Revolutionary War, my fourth and fifth great-grandfather since I descend from two of his children, son William and daughter Nancy.

Baruch Prather is Ritchey’s fifth great-grandfather, descended from daughter Deborah H. Prather.
