Remembering This Memorial Day

In memory of John Linton, who departed this life December 4th 1836 in the 86th year of his age.  Linton Graveyard, Washington County, Kentucky.  Revolutionary War.  My 4th and 5th gr-grandfather.

Joseph Robert Carrico, killed September 14, 1943, in Salerno, Italy, Private during World War II.  My uncle.

Adam Jungbluth.  Private, Civil War.  Ritchey’s gr-gr-grandfather.

Rex Brown, World War II.  Ritchey’s dad.

Baruch Prather, 1 Serg Maryland Militia, Revolutionary War, 1742-1810.  Prather Graveyard, Raven Run, Fayette County, Kentucky.  Ritchey’s 5th gr-grandfather.

Isaiah Hill, 1830-1919.  Private, Civil War.  My great-grandfather.  Evergreen Cemetery, Washington County, Kentucky.

  1. Thank you. I don’t tell you often enough how much I enjoy your post and pictures. I love seeing all the cemeteries and hearing the memories.

  2. A great reminder of the brave individuals who each have helped to build our Country and to protect our Constitutional rights.
