Holy Rosary Catholic Church and Cemetery
Holy Rosary Catholic Church is located in the small community of Manton in Washington County, Kentucky. The cornerstone for the first church was laid November 2, 1844. A few years later, in 1848, a new church was built – which is the present building. The church is now a mission of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fredericktown.

HI. My ancestors are Wheatleys from Manton Ky..My grt grandmother lived in a house IN Manton across from Holy Rosary Catholic during 1884-1893 or longer-as an adult. My dad told me 2 of her brothers are buried in tht cemetary-side by side. James Polin Wheatley born 1858 and James Thomas Wheatley born 1861. At least one of them fought inthe Civil War. Herparents & other kin R probly buried there also. Does ANYONE have a list of the people buried there or know how I can get one? I have wanted to visit this cem for 20 years to find my ancestors.I also want to trace her other siblings decendents who should live in Bardstown area.. Also can anyone tell me where St Rose Church is? My grt grandmaw, siblilngs and their mother was baptised there. I have Wheatley info that I can trade with other Whealeys. Thank you. S. Wheatley
