Henry Whitehouse – Melissa Conder 1842 Marriage Bond and Consent – Boyle County

Know all men by these presents, that we, Henry Whitehouse and Peter Conder, are held and firmly bound unto the Commonwealth of Kentucky, in the sum of fifty pounds, to the payment whereof well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents.  Sealed with our seals, and dated this 24th day of May 1842.

The condition of the above obligation is such, that whereas a marriage is shortly intended to be solemnized between the above bound Henry Whitehouse and Melissa Conder of this county:  Now, shall it always hereafter appear, that there is no just cause to obstruct the said marriage, then the above obligation to be void, else to remain in full force and virtue.
