William Janes and Magdalene McIlvoy were married 180 years ago – October 2, 1831 – in Washington County, Kentucky. Magdalene was the daughter of Alexander McIlvoy and Mary Magdalene McConley. William and Magdalene had ten children: John Alexander, Charles, Rose Alice, William Henry, Dan Polin, Mary Jane, Magdalene E., Margaret Catherine, Francis P. and a baby girl who died at birth.

Re the writeup above. Just clarifying, for my database
Is William’s surname, JaNES OR JAMES?
When was both William Janes and Magdalene (McIlvoy) born.
I have them in my database, but without dates.
I have that they had a daughter Catherine, which must be Margaret Catherine McIlvoy. Thanks for your help.

Magdalene Mcilvoy born May 15, 1816 Ireland. Need Rose Mcilvoy exact marriage date and husbands fathers name. I have James Thomas Janes,
married Rose abt Jan 1842 at St Rose Church? Think William is his brother?. I dont have the book for St Rose marriages and death records.

  Thomas Janes and Rose McIlvoy were married 29 Jan 1842 in Washington County, Kentucky. William Janes was the bondsman. It is very likely Thomas and William were brothers.

Died 4 May 1889 , Waco Texas
Magdalene McLvoy, born 15 May 1816 Ireland

    I have John Janes Jr & 1st wife Elizabeth Willett parents of
    William and Samuel Janes
    2nd Wife Susan Lee , they had one son Thomas Janes abt 1831
    John Janes Jr died in Fort Bend TX in 1843
    Susan Lee Janes moved back to KY

Kindle Book – Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church Cemetery Photos – Old Cemetery – $8.29

Thank you for purchasing this book. There are two parts to the cemetery of Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church – the old part is where the original settlers, the older people, were buried. This part is rather small. The newer part is much larger. Only the older cemetery is included in this book. There is a path up the hill from the new cemetery to the old cemetery, at the top of which is a monument in concrete which includes pieces of broken stones. What a wonderful way to display them – and so much better than throwing them away! This book includes photos of all the stones in the older part of the cemetery, and some from the new, a total of 70 names. Included are photos of the pathway, monument stones, church and historical marker.
