This doth certify that Elijah King hath full privilege to marry Elizabeth Smith from her parents.  As witness my hand, Presley Smith.

  1. My funds are extremely limited and I already have so much information that I hardly know what to ask for. I am trying to figure out the parents (maybe one set of parents but maybe not) of 5 Ford men who lived in the Madison and nearby counties. Allied families are Campbell Carpenter Hackett Golden McElroy Tevis Burgin and probably Rodes. Our John Ford preached in Missouri along with Obadiah Smith and a Carrico. Since I have so much already I can’t just ask to consult a book; I know I should visit Madison and Fayette counties but it seems unlikely any time soon. I would be delighted to share what I do have if it would advance anyone’s story. Can you help in ant way? I’m happy to pay – just don’t know what to ask for!
